Susan was appointed to this newly created position end October 2018. Building on her deep experience of the chemicals sector, and previous banking experience with Barclays Asset Finance, this part-time contract is the perfect fit. Santander’s International & Sector Solutions team will soon be delivering tailored financial solutions for the chemical industry.
Susan says: “This appointment complements my growing consultancy business rather well. I am in a strategic role for Santander and specifically my remit is NOT to sell banking facilities; that is for the bankers – I took the position on this basis! I am an industry person through and through, having spent over 32 years in manufacturing… My remit is related to helping the business to understand the needs of the chemical industry, an industry about which I care so deeply”.
